Frequently Asked Questions
Are children invited?
Children will be clearly indicated as guests on your save the date and formal invite if they are invited.
How do I get to the Mad River Valley?
The two closest airports are Burlington, VT (regional) and Boston Logan Airport (international hub). Depending on where you are flying in from we recommend one of these two airports. For those on the east coast, driving is likely the easiest way to get to the Mad River Valley. Make sure your car is snow safe and has snow tires / four wheel drive!
I don’t ski, can I still attend?
YES! Not only will we have ski lessons available to our more adventurous guests, the Mad River Valley is full of indoor and outdoor activities fit for any lifestyle. From spas and art galleries to snow shoeing and winter hiking, we are confident all of our non-skiing guests will have a wonderful day in the valley.
What if it snows?
Weather in Vermont in early spring is unpredictable. Be prepared for snow and freezing temperatures. We optimized our wedding date to minimize the chance of a snowstorm the weekend of our wedding, have warmer temps for comfortable time spent outside, and still have good snow for skiing. However, especially with global climate change, having good weather is not a guarantee.
